Ms Hackett and Mr Hill-Jayne have begun the process of leading Firs Primary school on our journey to the Artsmark award this term.    We are now a registered Artsmark school, which means that we are committed to providing all children and the wider community with valuable arts experiences, culminating in an award and the Artsmark status.  This is currently awarded at either Silver, Gold or Platinum levels. What is it? The Junior Award Scheme for Schools (JASS) is an accredited award for young people. It’s a structured programme, which aims to support young people through the transition from primary school to secondary school. JASS is designed to be flexible and adaptable to the interests and abilities of each child to ensure it is achievable by all. There is no set age range for JASS, however we are going to introduce it into year 6 with the hope to progress it through other years. What do the children have to do?
